Session 1 Magical Abstract Painting
Create abstract compositions in Acrylic paint with expressive colors. Suitable for beginner to advanced; no drawing skills required. Paint original works on canvas or paper using simple tools, a palette knife, and brushes. We will explore adding mediums which make Acrylics resemble oil painting, make colors flow like inks and watercolors, and add textures. Students learn techniques, color harmony, and new skills.

Sketchbooks 4
Create your own handmade sketchbook journal with a leather cover. Explore creative ideas that preserve your memories and special events in this personal sketchbook. Prompts, tools, windows, foldouts, photos and techniques used to make your book personal. Sketch pencils, pens, inks, and watercolors. The class includes techniques and creative ideas that include mark making, collage, titles and more.

Mixed Media & Lettering Design
Students will learn the basics of different lettering designs each week and how they can be applied in our daily lives through card making, paper folding, mini books, envelopes, journaling, and mixed media. l delve into many examples of creative card making that will incorporate your lettering style along with showing how simple lettering styles can enhance your correspondence and be turned into artful projects.

Lettering Layout/Design
Lettering Designs covers info on “what to do with your lettering knowledge.” Tips and tricks on creating a unique layout & how to mass produce these techniques for card making and gift ideas. Continue practice of Italic lettering and add more styles. Videos can be used for students viewing.

Draw & Painting for Beginners
This class is designed to teach the basics in drawing & painting techniques. Drawing & design is the foundation for all visual arts. You will learn what you need to prepare for any painting class. While this class will use oil paints, the lessons learned will carry over into any painting medium; acrylic or watercolor.
