Maureen Brouillette - Bio
Maureen Brouillette combines familiar imagery and contemporary aesthetics using acrylic paint, collage and organic line work.
Duality is an important theme in Maureen’s work. She likes to play with the contrast between order and chaos, analytical and intuitive and geometric and organic elements. Brouillette strives for balance between reality and abstraction.
Maureen Brouillette is a signature member of Southwestern Watercolor Society, The International Society of Experimental Artists and The Texas Watercolor Society.
Brouillette paints, teaches workshops and classes, conducts critique groups and juries art shows.
From the judge's thank you letter:
My experience teaching and critiquing on a regular basis gives me the chance to assess many artists’ work. I begin my analysis of each piece by evaluating the artist’s use of design and composition. Originality of thought and the skill to carry out that vision are equally important.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the work that the artists have shared for this exhibit. I congratulate the award winners and want to express my appreciation for all of you who entered.
